I know, it's a "dash 2" but they were built in the late 80's, at the same time 50's and 60's were rolling off of the same production line. So there ;D Kaslo shell, Kato drive and mostly DW detail parts. Thanks for looking.

Beautiful job! I have a rather silly question for you fine folks. Since getting a Kaslo Shops kit is not really an option anymore, I'm going to have to start from scratch more or less. I think I have things pretty much sorted out, but I'm curious as to the best source for the fans on the top rear of the unit. I can't seem to find anything that matches up. Here's where the question comes in......Can anyone suggest a fan that I can use that will match up to the prototype fairly closely? I'm not dead set that it has to be 100% correct, but I would like it to be as close as possible. Any help would be appreciated.

I worked on the 9021 a few times. Every so often, it would show up with a "1" chalked after the 9021 on the cab. These engines aren't well liked by some crews. One problem is that most haven't been upgraded inside, so they're noisy. But I always thought they looked neat. When they first arrived, they had some mechanical problems, and there were about a dozen stored in the yard in London, awaiting a trip to GMD for retrofit and repair. I wish I took a photo of them, that many together were impressive. Yours is an amazingly realistic reproduction..

What paint did you use for the "red", both brand and color? i.e. scalecoat CP action red. Thanks! P.S. Nice job on the model.

Thanks for the compliment, too! What were the mechanical problems? As per the paint, it was Badger Modelflex CP action red. IMO, it's a dead match
