My latest build was a CN RS-18 from a Atlas-Kato RS-11. I searched for nearly two years for a Proto CN RS-18 with no luck so I bought two RS-11's off eBay to kitbash into RS-18's.
The first one I built MR-18b 3650. I still have another one that I haven't touched yet. When it is finished it will be MR-18b 3624. 3624 is actually the engine that my grandfather had his retirement party in Campbellton, NB, back in 1982. He gave me the banner that was hung from the front handrails that traveled all the way up the coast. I also have two of 3624's number boards. A carman at CN's Gordon shops in Moncton, NB sold me them. He legally obtained them during maintenance.
The picture is CN extra 3650 on the Cedar Creek trestle. The bridge is modeled after a bridge located on the Gaspe on CN's ex-Cascapedia Sub in Black Cape, QC. A backdrop would really add to this photo.

Great job! And you went about making your RS18 the right way, by not using the crappy Proto one. Its alot of work, but worth it to make your RS18 look right! My dad worked for CN too, and acquired alot of GP9 numberboard when they went off to Montreal for rebuilds into GP9rms...

Thanks Sean, I have another one in the works, that's near done. I might try to finish it this weekend and fire up some photos. Where did you get the extra hood louvers??

WHich ones? The rad shutters and intercooler grilles are Tiger Valley, the 3 carbody filters together are cut from an RS32 (which is where the deck and drive come from)
