This is my latest Clinchfield model. It was built using a Highliner shell and is powered by a Stewart chassis.

I always find the modifications over time interesting. I think it looks better in the black scheme Stephen, one of the things I truly enjoy about modeling the Clinchfield is all the modifications that they made to their F-units. These units came from EMD with single chime horns, full tank skirting, very few grab irons, etc, and the Clinchfield changed these details on most all of their F-units over time. You really need good photographic evidence to model the Clinchfield, but that's a big part of makes modeling fun. Bob

Bob, as always simply outstanding work, thank you for continually posting your work here for us to enjoy! Thank you Scott. I wish I had more to display on the DD list, but it seems like the faster I move, the less I get done. Maybe 2011 will be a bit kinder to me and allow me to get more done. Bob

Excellent Work, Bob, Thanks for sharing with us!! BTW, didn't one or two of the CRR units come from the NC&StL?? Robert, the Clinchfield got two F-units from the NC&StL, numbers 821 and 822. They also got one F-unit from the L&N, number 823. Here is my version of the ex-NC&StL 822. Bob

Nice looking Fs. I enjoy adding unit specific details and it looks like you do too.

sweet units! Did you add any details to the tank, or is it how Stewart delivers them. In case it's the out of the box tank, do you have a part number? (I just would like to exchange the absolute inaccurate tank on my Athearn RTR CF7's with something more accurate) Thanks
