The kit consists of a boxcar shell with the roof walk molded on as one piece minus the corner ends of the roof walk (the light tan plastic color is all one piece) the floor is also one piece. All of the gray plastic is on sprues. The kit does not include couplers or trucks. The turn buckles are Grant-line replacements and I used fishing line for the guide wires on the queen posts. The only things truly scratch built are the cut lever bars and the corner grab irons. The kit didn't included those so I looked up pictures to see how they were routed. The instructions are a pain in the butt to understand it comes with fuzzy pictures and run on sentences for the instructions. You kind of have to know freight car anatomy to put the kit together, but they are very rewarding in the end, I think.

The look reminds me of a resin kit. The first one is always a pain because its a different construction technique but after you do a few they aren't so bad to work with.
So far yours is turning out really nice. Great job!
