I have just completed the DCC sound install for the Atlantic Coast Line (ACL) SD35 - see link - and am now ready to start updating the loco to how it looked in CSX service pre-1994. DCC install dieseldetailer.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=ele&action=display&thread=6926Now for some photos under the 'lightbulb sun'. Here's the loco as bought. The first task was to get rid of the word 'Atlantic', to be replaced by 'Seaboard', remove the numbers and distress the double yellow band. Next job is to patch up some of the missing black paint before shesmovedon to the next stage. Jon

So what was your method for removing the lettering and distressing the yellow bands?

A modelling pal pointed out that the font for 'Coast Line' changed with the SCL renumbering and lettering, so off the original came. I have also blackened up the bare areas, ready for the SCL decals. Jon

Nice Jon, I like the flora and fauna. Are there any deer frolicking about?
