Well, the ACU family has grown; though this one was for a customer. I thought the scheme looked good on a "new" SD70 ACe, but it look sjust as good on an SD70MAC! Maybe it's the scheme, but it makes an EMD look like a pitbull > . I'm still contemplating doing a GEVO in the paint, but I'm not buying a $250 loco just to try.........maybe someday. Thanks for looking, Rick

Thanks Dan.
Stephen, it's not the crossing of the eyes, but rather the cramping of the hand while cutting out the patterns in the frisk tape.

William- the lightest shade is Testor's aircraft light grey, and the other two are custom mixes of sky blue, dark grey, OD green, and weathered black. After they've dried, and the masking is pulled, the whole thing is washed with reefer white to blend and fade; as the colors are too rich initially.
Jim- SD70M.....hmmm. UP? I've been wondering how the scheme would look with the "Building America" flag and wings.
Thanks again everyone!

That does look nice. I wouldn't want to do all that masking, but I can appreciate the work you have to do to get that look! After that, you should be able to mask anything!

Thanks again everyone. Yeah the masking is a pain, but the end result is well worth it.

What are you guys talking about? I don't see anything in those pictures..... It's like it's an invisible locomotive or something! ;D Come on guys, I shouldn't be making the first camouflage joke on page two of this thread!!! SOMEONE should have beaten me to it by now!
