Man, you did a fantastic job on that. I love all the history with it. One question though, how come you didn't weather it like the 2003 in the picture? I think that would look killer.

Pat, An outstanding job! I love seeing the unique light packages and other environmentally required add-ons AAR has on their stuff. Keep up the great work! Whats next? ;D Paul

Thanks for the comments guys. This is one of many in my roster. Here is one that is 12 years old and by todays standards could use a few tweeks. alaskarails.org/creations/PD-3013/index.htmlIt answers the request for more weathering and pretty much matches the photos of the day. The Alaska Railroad has been fairly diligent in cleaning the fleet unless they are destined for retirement. The exhaust and coal dust mixed with gravel dust from the unit trains realy does paint the horizontal surfaces dark brown overtime. Thats why the freight locos were originally all black with yellow lettering and trim. Pat Durand
