Hopefully, this works. I know that the focus isn't the greatest, but I pulled the shot from my iPhone. I simply haven't had the time to take another shot lately; summer college classes, daughter, wife, life, summer.........blah, blah, blah. I hand made these with brass stock: flat, wire, and L-channel. I "eye-balled" everything, and soldered. At the base of the super-structure legs, I added pins from brass wire to fit into the roof brackets at the front. That, was by far, the hardest part......getting them to line up, and sit flush. The rear support brackets are styrene stock with holes drilled for the support brackets to fit. I know that they aren't 100% perfect, but I think that they look pretty damn good for "eye-balling" and not having official dimensions. Maybe it's just me. I'd say that they pass the 1-1.5 foot rule. I did get a minute to correct the "divots" in the upper portion of the structure, but haven't touched them since. When I do get a minute, probably later this summer, I'll try and shot some better shots with a better camera; until then, I hope this works for everybody. thanks for looking! Well- All she's missing now is the warning light, and redneck will take the lead on the rest of this build. I LOVE the way the breakers turned out! And they are functional, as proof in the other pix. Thanks for looking! Other shots available through my link. Comments welcome, Rick

Nice Job Rick! I was fortunate enough ( I love snow) to grow up in Tahoe and get to see them working the sheds between Norden and Trukee, Mostly SD9's and GP38-2's though in my day. I'm going to be doing a GP38-2 with rotary windshield wipers and ice breakers to go with a flanger set. Your work is great inspiration. Hope you guys are planning on getting her dirty..

Thanks everyone!
I know you don't like Kodachrome Chris, but for some reason I do. I also model the late 70s-early 90s, so a few Kodys are a must for me.

I second that...I have a 40T2 in Kodachrome and its going to get beat to Heck like the real ones looked at the end...adds color to a red and gray consist without have to hit the lease pool..and they make for great conversation pieces with younger folks who have no Idea what SP/SF was all about, thus being historically significant to the SP. And in the case of Early GP's with icebreakers... look just right ;D
