Alex, you did a fine job! What type of wood did you use?

It is all Maple. Not sure if that is a popular tree for pulpwood or not, but that's what I had on hand.

that looks awesome want to do some southeastern v deck pulp wood loads for me oh sorry i forgot i'm in n scale lol That is really nice looking, alot better then those cheesey plastic things they try to pass off as loads. N scale is easy, the maple in the yard here has a ton of (baby maples) sprouting all over, just gotta use the baby ones to make baby loads ;-) How may trees you need? lol.... Just for the pulpwood record, en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PulpwoodIt shows maple in the Chemical composition of pulpwood chart, so I guess it is correct wood to use?

Turned out really good Alex. I did something similar, but with smaller "logs" and only on two cars. I also made up a pulp wood load for a 50ft gon using the same concept. Makes for some nice variety in the train.
Great job on the load.

What did you use to cut those?
I have a culping saw blade, or piece of one I use to light sawing in a large exacto knif handle, but for more cutting like this I'd like a better way to do it.

Thanks for the compliments!
Larry, I just used a Zona razor saw blade and a miter box. I also used a simple jig so I cut the wood at the right length.
