This started out as a factory painted Intermountain Koppel Inc. hopper but I ended up repainting most of the car. My goal was a good representation of the prototype since the IMRC car is a close but incorrect car.

Great Job Eric, love the distressed blue and wonderful streaks down the car sides, JUST RIGHT.

Eric very nice. You have done a good job there. Can you or someone explain why it has an ATSF (I presume Santa Fe) car number.

Thank you for the comments guys. Eric very nice. You have done a good job there. Can you or someone explain why it has an ATSF (I presume Santa Fe) car number. From what I understand at the time Santa Fe was trying to get there shippers who owned there own cars to sell there cars to the RR. I do not know of any other ex-shipper owned hoppers on the Santa Fe so they weren't too successful at that but it did get them 150 cars from Koppel Inc. A few of them did get full repaints into ATSF mineral brown.

Eric thanks for the reply. It sometimes makes it hard when so far away.

Excellent job, Eric!
You'll have to bring that one up next time for some shots by one of the elevators.
