well it was a big debate on if the sp was alive today how would its ace look. well i baught what the hobby shop had. and to be honest i am digging the nose light. granted the sd70m's had a cab light but this unit is purly fantasy. the photo provided is the only shot you will see tell the unit is finished.

VERY Impressive!! Speed lettering would look real nice on that ACE. If we are doing pure fantasy, how about doing one in Kodachrome?!? ;D

Great! Now slap on some "wings" and speed lettering and she'll be ready to make her armour yellow sisters green with envy. ;D

Looks great! Did the paint come off very easy on the MTH engine? Just bathe it in 90% isopropyl alcohol for 24 hours...........that's what I did. Worked great! Rick

How about a up yellow patch hey quit throwing things i was just kidding how about some more pics You must be dragged out back and beaten with a wet noodle..... j/k! Looks cool. You beat me to it, though! As for my units, I am waiting for the Athearn Genesis model. I personally will not buy MTH crap...., oops, I mean models. I have spent time going over "their" model and I have some issues with it. Let's see if Athearn gets it right...

Very nice, 1996 was in the Roseville yard about a month ago, I love that Daylight, she was behind a WP GP 7/9, that was behind a WP heritage, Behind her were 2 F7Bs(one in WP one in UP colors). The Pull was a baggage car, two Coaches, a boxcar (40 ft I believe), a Gondola, the three cabeese.

You should renumber the Daylight ACe into the new SP numbering series and remove all the UP logos and use it as a modern passenger loco

But shouldn't it really have nose and cab lights plus an extra red one just for kicks. Full lights all the way looks the best.
