after reading Dan's F45 build on another forum several months back, I decided I wanted to try a couple myself. I am going to do three builds at once. 2 will be standard units and one is a "B" unit. Here are some pics. I have not done much to the "A" units yet. Here is the "B" unit. Still needs some work around the seams, but not a bad start. This is the first full blown kitbash I have tried in 25 years Here is the drawing that got me started on the "B" unit.

Sarge I think that B unit is the bomb, that looks awesome, for not doing a bash like that in 25 years I think you hit the nail on the head..............and that paint job is goig to make it that much better.........For the side handrails use .012" brass wire as it is close to the right size.........I am goig to leave a web page of the size wire for different things on all types of engines under the Diesel Detailng Technigues page......

Those would make a nice set for your office special or business car fleet! Or better yet, promotional stuff much like the Santa Fe did when they brought back the warbonnet scheme!!!!

Thanks guys, I still have more work I want to do, mostly to the pilots and still need to modify the frame and fuel tank. I also still need to make the decals. I am trying to take my time on these and do them right

Very nice, are those Athearn shells? Looking to do one eventually in the GN Sky Blue scheme.
