Looks good Damian, I think it is a great concept, and very believable, so what does the paint scheme look like?? Any decision yet?

If the railroad is located in Louisiana, why the winterization hatch. Or does the railroad run that far north that it needs it?

The LANR has a few smaller shortlines that are in northern Minnesota and in Canada. So these units will be roaming around on those lines from Time to time.Thats why the Winterzation Hatch is needed. LANR is located in 6 states.

So the Louisiana Northern is just one railroad controlled by a parent company ala. RJ Corman or Rail America?

the Louisiana Northern Railroad is controlled by Louisiana Northern Industries.Which controls 2 other shortlines in Northern Minesota, and Canada. Out of the 3 Louisiana Northern is the biggest, standing as a Regional railroad. Well heres the LANR's official scheme Thanks to antlorch I have an Scheme now.

Sharp. Maybe add the name to the hood? Or maybe a logo?

Probably a Blue or Black color for the lettering on the long hood in the silver. Then a State of Louisiana Logo on the Nose in a deep Gray color. just a start so far still thinking.

Well here's my first unit i'm doing for my fictional RR,the LANR. Its and GP40-3RCMU with RCMU standing for Remote Control,Mother Unit. I will do an GPTEC-B to go with this unit. This unit is used for DPU Service,Locals,Yard Duties, and Mainline power. Very widely use pair over the LANR System. So tell me what you think -Damian Looks good! You can copy the image code into the post and the actual picture will show up. I will watch this since my TARA unit needs a mother which I have yet to design! Hank
