Gentlemen,
I am not sure if this forum is the correct one. As you may know I model in N-SCALE and I have a pair of old CONCOR ALCO C-636 loco's, which I acquired secondhand and would like to try kitbashing them into two MLW M636 locomotives. Yes, I am aware that these loco's came with ALCO's Hi-Ad trucks. I am lacking the Dofasco trucks Could someone tell me who /where I can turn to for these trucks?

The MBE trucks are not like the Briggs Dofasco's... they are merely sideframes that do not correct axle spacings. They look nice, but I think the wheels not lining up with the journals might be hard to tolerate.
I heard a wisp that a proper Dofasco may be coming once again to N. I'll post when it is confirmed...

The truck sideframes used with the Con-Cor C636 are actually the same as those used on the old MRC/Mehano SD45 and totally incorrect, although closer in appearance to a Dofasco sideframe than the stock Alco Trimount truck. It could be possible to bash them from an RSC2 truck.

Briggs Models is re-releasing their Dofasco truck kit. It will cost $39.99 Canadian, and is available from Central Hobbies. There will only be 100 made, so get them before they're gone. www.central-hobbies.comtimothy dineen
