The theme for March is Diesels built with the most parts from Cannon & Company. Obviously, your photo must be of a diesel that has Cannon parts on it, and be taken before the unit was painted so we can see all of the parts. Being unpainted, you will not need to describe all of the parts used. The picture can be of a unit in progress or a unit just before paint. You can post 1 photo per diesel, but you can post another diesel in another post. I'll start this one off with my Illinois Terminal SD-39.

What RR is the SD38-2 slated to become Andrew? It looks Iowa Interstateish to me. Is that what it's gonna be Andrew?

Hey rdg5310, You probably need to remove/plug and relocate those nose grabs to the other side of the cab, as the NYC units had ATS boxes located on the nose where the normal grabs are located.... PC units had cab signal box located there also... www.pbase.com/espeef5/image/73789237Custom Finishes HO scale ATS motor generators. The part number is #208, but it's no longer listed on Walthers' website. www.walthers.com/exec/search?manu=247&split=30Regards, Brian

I have pics of the NYC GP-40s with the Auto Box removed also. The grab is still in the forward postion though. We are getting off topic here guys. This board is suppose to stay on the theme, please? Here is the late Gordon Cannon's BL20-2

Hi everyone, I have used some Cannon&Co. parts although not as extensively. I enjoy the ease of use and it really reminds me of building a model, which increases my enthusiasm for the hobby. This is a photo of a P2k transmogrification of BNSF's SD9 to SD9-3 updates, hope to eventually be 6100 or 6135: which have both gone through so many renumberings that I cannot figure out if they are even on the roster anymore. Glad to finally contribute I have lurked far too long. i953.photobucket.com/albums/ae13/PatrickandJean/BNSF%20SD9-3/DSCN0154.jpg
