The rust on those cars is AMAZING.

That is some awesome work. That ex-GT car is a spot on weathering job. So when does weathering lessons begin?

I know, some of the guys out there today doing weathering is really wild stuff, Hoping I can pull off some of this rusting effect on some cars.

Thats what I'm talking about Jeremy.....If any of you don't Know Jeremy, who does not toot his own horn has an excellent article on that extremely nice IATR box in the Oct. 2009 issue of Railroad Model Craftsman and that CPAA hopper can be yours for a price ;D

thanks a lot guys... i really appreciate the kind comments... it's always good to get a fresh take on my work and i truly do appreciate it... thanks...
i could probably do something with my current project... i wasn't planning on doing any in progress shots but i can and then maybe post those and some explanations once i'm done with it if anyone would be interested...
as scott said, the GT is in the 09 october RMC magazine with a full how to... i know to most of your eyes it may look really involved but the basic principles remain the same regardless of the end result...

Good to see you made it over to the DD Jeremy, I never get tired of looking at your IATR box, that is simply STUNNING work, a show stopper, this car could easily take first place at a rodeo. ;D
I also love your St. Marys box as well.

Yea you aint kidding about the detailed weathering looking great you can almost hear the rust forming lol vince and hear the paint peeling, and the scrape sound of steel wheels on steel rails. LOL
