I just wanted to say HI and find out how everything works like adding photo's .
I have been out on idle for about 10 years and have quite a few scracth builds , kit bashes and undecs that have been painted and detailed and most that are in one form of this process .
I used to build one from start to finish and then got carried away and built quite a few loco's .
Many are EMD and alcos and Baldwins for the most part .
They are from Atlas , Athearn , Steward and a few mixed bags of all three. Some are ready to run Spectrum pK2 .
Most are now the lastest additions out there , the newest is a Atlas S-2 with the chinese drive , the few PK-2's are first run .
I had many more but sold then needing the funds and kept what I could .
I never had a computer when I was doing all of this , it all came from model railroad magazines which offered builds and detailing I was most interested in doing at the time .
I had scratch build a few hoods and added as I see here high hood kits from sources such as Cannon and Co.
I forgot where i left off and have a few boxes of detail parts not opened .
My latest effort to get back into this is to use an Atlas RS-11 shell and mount it on a PK2 FA-2 drive . The bolster ctc is about 1 1/2 feet short but the drive did fit with a bit of tab trimming on the shell mounts .
Wish I had the RS-11's I used to have but we do with what we have .

Hi Guys,
Joined up today, May 12th.
About me. Rivet counter of the worst kind. Model NS and CSX current era and only from images that I take. I make a lot of my own detail parts from scratch and build not only locos and frieght cars but prototype structures of any kind that pertain to the current RR scene - including the rivets - where applicable. ;-) I do use Railflyer etch parts I need if they have waht I need. Use a good deal of Cannon & Co's stuff as well.
I have recently started making my own loco shells which I'm finding very satisfying, but to date have yet to complete one.

Welcome, please don't count my rivets, you may find some baling twine and black tape in there someplace. ;D

Hi. I'm new here as of today. I'm a Santa Fe modeler and my era is about 1987. My current project I'm working on is SWBLW - a switcher on the ATSF that started life as a new Baldwin VO1000, was repowered by the Santa Fe with an EMD engine in 1970, and is still serving the BNSF today. I'm hoping to finish it by 2009 SFRHMS convention in Chicago.
Thanks, Dave
