Now here's a good idea for that old P2K SW9/1200 ;D This "thing" is located at a Cargill shuttle train elevator on UP's KP line at Ogallah, KS. If you've drove to Colorado on I70 you probably seen it. It started life as a C&O SW9 and was later sold to Ford, which replaced the standard EMD switcher cab with this close clearance version, I'm guessing for work in a steel mill... It sorta looks like they took the cab and just "squeezed" it from both sides ;D Several more of these ex Ford units have migrated to the Great Plains. ADM has two more, a twin to the Ogallah unit at a elevator in Hereford, TX and the 12007 at Hutchinson, KS. The 12007 is one of three units ADM has at Hutch, it usually works at the "I" elevator. It retains the EMD cab, but it appears to have had the top lopped off, and it also has a cab window arrangement that looks somewhat like a Dash 7 GE

Cool, I like the "hammerhead" shape of the knuckle

I know this is a little late, but why are the couplers painted on this? I thought I was a No No?

I thought so too Larry. Maybe if it stays internal to the Cargill facility they can do whatever they want?
