Hi all, Below is a set of shots I took of a GE booster unit I have finished, for the most part. A few things remain to be fixed, but the major construction is finished, and I am satisfied enough with it that I will take it to the club and run it. I will post construction photos and how-to stuff after I sort through all the photos I took of it. 35 separate stages of construction were photographed, so it'll take some doing! Kevin

Hi all,
Thanks for all the compliments! I like B-units, that's all I can say. No particular feelings on high-hoods, other than it looks like they'd be annoying to operate in, because of the limited field of view. Can't say though, I've never been in one. This unit started out as an Atlas Gold unit, with all the sound and decoder install stuff taken care of for me, so that was kind of nice. I enjoy doing it, but NOT having to do it was kind of nice too! This unit was the unit I worked on while I was waiting for glue to cure, paint to dry, etc., on other units that were being worked on.

Nice unit Kevin. Can't wait to see your construction how-to and photos. Looking to build at least one for my roster.

Oh my gosh – all true ATSF fans just LOVED the green twinkies and I’m no exception! Good job on yours! Here’s a roster shot I took back in the summer of 1995 of one very close to the road number of the one you did.
