LOL!!! It's been raining here in Ohio all week with high humidity. I miss when I had my spraybooth set up for sure, but this house we bought since the kids left home is really small. George Carlin said: "Your house is your place where you keep your stuff while you go out and buy more stuff" He wasn't kidding!

Did you cut the old rads out or sand them smooth? I've got a couple of SD40-2's that I would like to replace the rads on but am not sure how to go about doing them. I cut them out. The shell was so old and brittle, it started to crack. This Athearn SD40-2 was from the first release way back when.

It's a Details West Bell, I spent a lot of time with my Jeweler's Files to get the right shape. The Air Line is Florist's Wire.

I need to shoot a picture of the finished model, although I still need to install a couple more windows, that I noticed I still had not yet installed. Here is a pic before it got the nose replaced with the correct 81" nose, and a coat of gloss black. Regards, Brian

1597 is an SD-40, and 1635 is an SD40-2.

Nice work on details. I love intensively detailed locos! I will read all messages related to this model later. Congratulations! Flávio Took a little better pics of my N&W SD40-2 tonight. Some of the folks on other forums never say anything about my locomotives, they just post to tell me my camera sucks, but it's all I can afford.
