Nicely done. I'd like to see how you made the ditch and class lights. I need to make similar light housings for my F10 build.

Love the ditch lights. Did they extend them to sort-of match the TEE sets? I don't see any other reason why they would be extended.

Thanks for the comments. I'm not sure of the reason for this style ditch lights. ONR applied this style to all of their FP7's when rebuilt. Maybe they liked the TEE look? I replicated them by using some Evergreen tubing, with the end tapered, and then a DA ditch light on the end. The hardest part was drilling the shell, and installing them straight! I reamed the inside of the tubing slightly, so that an LED would slide in. Heres one of the three: www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=319917

The Ontario Northland took me from Toronto off to university. I used to love hanging out on the bridge outside their shops...they always had some project going on.
Great start on your loco.

Been a while, but got a little bit more done. Added the second grill on the side, and FINALLY found a pic of the exhaust stack, and built mine using two EMD stacks spliced together.

My first thought when I saw the ditch lights is that they may be extended so that you could see both of them from either side of the locomotive. If they were flush with the curvature of the nose, you'd only be able to see one if you were standing at an angle to the nose.

If you detail out the interior, don't forget that these locos had desktop control stands, much like EMD control stands of the 90's. They also had a basic desk for the conductor and a microwave below the conductor's window above his desk. I think pictures of that are in the Morning Sun book 'The ontario Northland " by Bram Bailey.

I've just been thinking about it.....I mounted some surface mount leds for ditch lights, and have done a little more detailing...but.....what does everyone think on the orange/yellow? I know its a tough colour to match, and no two pictures are the same, but, it looks too orange to me.........
