Well awesome, great job angling the hood and roof transition from where the cab was to the original hood. Can't wait to see updated photos. I've always liked high-hood B-units!

Ahhh... Kiro once again gracing us with his presence with all of these top notch museum quality loco's, can't wait to see the finished product. Here is a link to an OMI SD45B painted in ATSF www.trainmaster.ch/X-552.htm

I always thought those units looked meaner then even the high nosed N&W and Southern units. Are you going to touch up the paint or strip it and repaint? Still I don´t decide. I want to pair this unit with a SD45u that received a paint touch up, and if fact you can´t tell which part was "repainted", it looks very good. The problem is that the yellow that I found matches with the lead unit (floquil reefer yellow) don´t match the color of the microscale Santa Fe emblem that would need to be used for the SD45B, so.... think it will be a wasted effort to super detail a loco and have a mismatch between the Santa Fe emblem and the yellow used for the hoods or a mismatch with the lead unit.

Kiro, great work. That slope you did is great. That is something that is hard to do, and from the looks of it, it looks great.

I think I actually saw one of these units in Texas, circa 1995. You're really doing nicely, kiro.

As far as I know, there were no B units SPSF painted.

Another great job so, Kiro!
I built one of these years ago and it's great to see another one!
A bit of SD45B trivia - There were actually 3 of these built - the first 5501 was wrecked and scrapped less than a year after being built into a B unit so they built another 5501 to replace it in Dec 1983.

That is some very nice work. When those were first released they were ran in an A-B-B-A set.
