Hi guys! This was my last SD40-2 project. Not much if compared to yours, but... It represents the original appearance of brazilian SD40-2 when received from Macosa, Spain, by mid 70s. The base model is an old dummy Athearn. I used a Walthers 567 prime mover (ok, I know its not correct, but it´s not entirely seen...) and opened doors extracted from an Atlas SDP35 shell. I hope you enjoy it. Flávio Prototype. Shell, tank and cabling. Prime mover, tank and trucks. Steps and opened door. Prime mover. Primer. Base color. Red. Cab details and wiper motor. Cab and holes for classification lights. 10 blades for dynamic brake fans and 8 blades for radiator fans. "What´s wrong man?" "I don't know... There's a strange noise back here..." Brake chain, speed recorder and brake pipes.

Holy cow...simply outstanding!!! That is exactly what I'm doing to my Railflyer build...which comes equipped with a brass Overland 645.

did you make the cab interior yourself? or is that a kit? That's an amazing interior! It made me feel like I was at work!

DRLOCO, The cab interior was made using styrene, phosphor-bronze wire, 2 Atlas seats and 2 Atlas control stands. One control stand was cut into pieces to compose the electrical cabinet. It took a lot of work. There is even a fire extinguisher inside the cab... In my next models I will use Keystone Locomotive Works kits. Thank you for your comments.
