Here's a model of one of the ex. CN SD40's that were sold to Alstom, rebuilt, then leased back to CN. The model strated out as a Kato SD40, I added a DB section from a Kato SD40-2, Cannon cab, nose sub base kit and radiator fans, Eric steps, snow sheilds, Train Station Products DB fans etc. Soon after I finished the model along came Railflyer, if I were to do it again I'd use lots of their parts. The decals were from a now gone company called SGS (I think Highball bought their artwork)The model is due for some paint touch up after a couple of years of hard running, I may paint out the GEC lettering and reletter it for CN, as many of the prototype units were late in their careers. -Trevor

I wouldn't change a thing, that unit has a proud history and has served you well like an old friend.

That is a very awesome looking unit.I have had a few of those on the head end of a couple of trains to Laredo,Tx.Been a few years now.
