I took this pic in Kingman, AZ on 7 Sept 2009, I've never seen a bulkhead flat like this one, can anyone elaborate on this one.

I picked up a model of one of these (at least it looks very similar). It didn't have a box or any markings anywhere, so I don't know who makes/made it.

Nice shot! I would say that it is a ex ACL/SCL pulp wood rack. Pretty dog gone sure!

It does look like a pulp wood rack, with cross members added for hauling pipe. The reporting marks are for Tubular Transport Services, Chesterfiled, MO and is one of 90 cars in service from its locations in Blytheville, AR, Conroe, TX and Counce TN. If it was in wood service, the deck will be sloped down toward the center sill.

Used for hauling oil field pipe. They're over 40 years old, built in 1967, ex GILX.
