Okay, so I saw the picture of the "bobber" caboose over here: dieseldetailer.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=tech1&action=post&thread=2817&page=2and well, I decided I needed one. So I built it. Started out with this: ...sliced, diced, stripped... ...and then started gluing, filing, and trimming. Still need to do some filling and the whole unit will get a coat of paint, blue and gray (to go with my Miller Lite modern beer train), no idea what road, but for now, here it sits: More randomness to come: Kevin

LMAO, I was wondering if someone was going to make one after seeing my mockup that I posted. Looks good, thanks for taking the initiative to make one, I want to make one as well. I don't know if I'm going to have the cushioned coupler pockets on mine though.

The coupler pockets are standard Kadee coupler boxes that come with #5 coupler kits. I have them extended that far out because they are run up against the support piece for the end platforms, so they won't go any further back.
I suppose it doesn't need couplers on both ends, if you left the bolster loose you could just "turn" the caboose manually!
