Ive been re-doing some shells and was wondering how many uses you can get from a tub of the rubbing alcohol before you need to change it? Its still a fresh tub buts its gotton awful dirty in the last few days.

I usually strain my stripper through a coffee filter. I'm guessing if your nose doesn't sting when you get a whiff of this stuff while you're working on it, it is getting weak because of the volitiles evaporating. Not that I recommend sniffing the bottle of alcohol, but usually you'll get a smell here and there while you're working with it. I would think as long as you kept the container sealed pretty good, it would stay usable for a while. Maybe somebody else knows more than I do about the chemical side of things. The only other bit of advice I can offer is that when the stuff stops taking paint off the shell, it's time to do something different!

The coffee filters I've used wick away too much of the stripper so I let the paint fall out of solution and carefully pour out all but the bottom of the bottle for the next job.

I tend to get about three weeks out of a tub. I keep mine covered, however, thhe fumes tend to permeate my apartment even with windows open. The alky tends to last longer when it's not humid, like in the middle of winter.
