My name is Bob Harpe and I live in Savannah, Ga. My main modeling interest is the Southern Railway, 1981, although I do build models of the Clinchfield, Seaboard Coast Line, N&W and others. I'm glad to be a part of this board and I look forward to seeing modeling efforts from more of the members here.
I host the Savannah Prototype Modeler's Meet here in Savannah each year and I would like to invite everyone to the next meet which will be held on March, 27th and 28th, 2009. I'll be posting more info as the time draws closer. I hope to see y'all here.

Welcome to The Diesel Detailer Bob! It's great to meet all the guys that have the same affliction as myself. Show us more of your work, the N&W SD40-2 you did got me back into modeling the Norfolk & Western.

Perry, Thanks for your comments. I decided to shut down my clinic list earlier this year because of being busy with so many other things, but I may begin a new list after the first of next year. I'm down to just a few custom pieces to finish and the grandchildren don't require as much time now as they once did. Time will tell.

Welcome Bob. I know you model 1981 but............. Andrew, I really like your Southern SD80MAC locomotive. The long Imitation Aluminum stripe adds a lot of class to this locomotive and makes the unit seem a lot longer than it really is. I think I'd have to add the computer check letter to the unit number though. Bob
