Looks great. If I might make one suggestion would be to get the laser cut flush fitting windows. They really dress up the sw1500 with all of those windows.

I think you have done a great job updating and weathering but agree with Michael, you need to get laser cut windows, will really improve the look.

I may also decide to add Cannon walkway tread at a later date when I can afford it, as I know they make a set for the SW1500 and it greatly enhances the appearance, as well. Can't wait to see it on the rails. And here it is:

hey, that is a great looking engine! One hint: the metal plate behind the trucks for the power transfer from the trucks to inside the loco should be painted black, because you can see it behind the truck side frames, and if it's black you wouldn't recognize that much ;-) Athearn did it black by factory on the new RTR SW1500.
And I really like how you modified the pilots!
