VERY nice work, Jerry! If you decide to leave it fresh from the paint shop, I would use a semi-gloss finish. If you decide to do any weathering, stick with a dull coat, as paint in the real world oxidizes with exposure to weather (oxidation is the most subtle part of the weathering process, with some more subtle than others ;D).

thanks for the links, that's just what i needed. godzilla is something else i've been into sense i was a kid. the older movies suck, but i loved them for some ungodly reason. even had one on my first layout when i was like 7 or 8. thanks to all of you for the positive comments.

Only one problem with the model, the roadnumber you gave it is a SD45 number. Southern SD40-2's were numbered 3201-3376. Other than that looks fantastic.

Jerry, here is a good place to do research. You'll find photos and complete rosters of most railroads. I'm sure there are many other links the membership can add, but this is where I start. www.rrpicturearchives.net/default.aspxOh, and by the way....[glow=red,2,300]HAPPY BIRTHDAY SMOKIE!![/glow]
