Also add some decodersand replace some handrails and a sunshade with new atlas parts on a BNSF Atlas Dash 840BW that I got 2nd hand! Whew!!

I hate to say it Randy, but the Conrail blue maybe turning to BN green!!! Ive got so much 6 axle power, and only 2 4 axle units, need to get some more Geeps in there for a nice local set!!! Although, do need to spend sometime looking around and maybe this may retain its conrail paint, of course faded, and put into a leasor! Need to find some inspiration!

I'm working on the frame for the rescue CSX GP30 slug this week. The frame for the CSX GP40-2 has been painted and weathered. Touch up paint work to the body was just completed. The trucks for both are also being weathered this week. I do have to do touch up paint work on the slug for the parts I replaced. I will be posting updated pics soon on the rescue thread. That's at least my goal for this week. This doesn't include mowing the lawn after I fix the tractor, or preparing for the trip to Cumberland on Thursday, or working long hours at my job( and oh yea! And spending quality time with the wife). ;D

I was planning on working on an Athearn super-detailed GP50, with Railflyer steps/stepwells and treadplate, and lots of Cannon parts.
So far it has turned out to be a disaster to work on. Screwed up one body shell removing the cast on details, so dug in the body shell box for another shell. Got all the cast on parts off on this one fine.
Then went to install the Railflyer step sets. Bad idea after a rough start to the project. Don't ever attempt to fit Railflyer step wells to an Athearn unit. It don't work and they don't fit.
Needless to say, the second unit went smashing into the table, scattering all the parts across the hobby room and into oblivion. I am pretty sure I'll find one of those photo-etch razor blades (I mean steps!!) one night while walking bare foot in the hobby room!!
I'll be taking the rest of the week off from modeling, as I am leaving for a 20 day vacation on Thursday!!!
I sure wish someone would make a decent GP50!!

Have a nice vacation Bob. I wouldn't walk around barefoot in the model room for a while. I did and found all kinds of little parts sticking out of my big feet.
By the way, my GP-50 project has caused me to create a few new words for the language also, so don't feel bad. I cut those stupid body mount tongs off because you have to squeeze the shell to remove it. Everytime I squeezed the shell I would knock a DW Air Tank loose. I guess I'll have to body mount the couplers and fill the pilot in.

Ordering more parts for the TEBUC6 project. IC Connectors and assorted electronics. LED install on my UP (ex-CNW) GP50 project, and rework the decoder install. Finish a scratchbuilt flatcar model, and continue searching for my missing parts to another SD40-2B unit and the SD38P. I cleaned off the work area yesterday and still didn't find them, so we've got some digging to do. Also continue calculating cost of future models. Might even work up a 4X8 plan for the BNSF Geiger spur.

well, im backing off engines for a while. Dont have the money right now for sound decoders. Got a large stack of rolling stock that needs done. So im going to see if I can get a couple of cars done this week. I also have a structure project I have been working on. Remember the old KFC from life like? That was actually one of my first kits I ever got when I first got into the hobby. I was in the 4th. grade then, back around 74 I think. So that kit has been around for a long time. Anyway I had the bright idea to animate the sign. I got a NWSL 1:50 gearbox to make the bucket rotate real slow. Now I just have to hook the motor up to it. P
