Finally made it over here. My railroad is the CIOR "Central Indiana & Ohio Railroad" runs from Pittsburgh to Kansas City with lines to Chicago/Cincinnati/Louisville/Youngstown and other places. Lots of "rebuild" units roaming around, including my favorites the SD35R's which are still going strong. and and GP40R with SD35R on the L68 local

Thanks for joining and sharing these photos of your layout and locomotives. I'm getting ready to set up an exclusive YT Video area for the Trains Across America series and would accept videos of your CIOR also!

We can do the YT thing. I've not been in the basement much and haven't shot a video in some time. I can represent almost any train needed, Coal, Grain, Autoracks, Autoparts, general freight, local and MofW.
You cross the CIOR at Morgan Run? I'm betting safely on that one..LOL

I've wanted to do a video that sole purpose is to follow a switch job/local over the road. Perhaps that can be the next one I do. I just have to get a good crew that can handle the pressure..LOL I've got a few I believe.

I just noticed that the SD60 I was working on kinda looks like a CIOR unit. The green on my unit looks close to the green on the SD35R 3522 and details kinda close to that also.I used Floquil Deck Green which is a Marine color. Here is a picture.... It could have been an order for Utah Belt back in that mid 80's but was cancelled because of money being tighter than they thought hence the details like the nose light.EMD offered them to the CIOR for a really good deal. Mind running wild with ideas again................Do you have any more decals like the ones on the SD35R 3522?

Yes it does look CIOR'ish to meeeeee too!
I use BN Green and Testor Green, but that isn't far off.
I've got a few extra decals. I actually have a few P2K SD60 undecs still in their boxes waiting paint.
You want to do a CIOR SD60?

Sure if you dont mind? Let me know and I will finish this one out.Do you paint the top black or leave it green? With a little weathering the green will tone down some. I am not a fan of the Lifelike anymore, Athearn all the way for me, so I was just going to get rid of this one.I dont have handrails for this one but I am sure I can get some.Maybe I will do an Athearn also.

I'll send you an email about this.
I'm hoping to have more decals ran in the future too.
The roof, they are solid green, but you can keep the black tops, as the shops at Logansport Indiana seem to pump out mixed up paint jobs. Some have said that the forman of the rebuild program at the shops is a tad bit "off his rocker"...... More rumors persist that the CIOR will undergo a transformation in paint scheme from the designer of a real railroad paint scheme!!!!! Logo to stay the same for now.

I like that light package, I never put any thought into the SD60 order. It was CIOR's first new engine order in its history, so it could very well have been added on. Never know.

Any closeup shots of the SD35R? Nope, my camera gets crappy when I put it too close.
