Until I figure out for sure on my freelancing problem, I figure a few freight cars will keep me busy! The first is a kitbash using an IM 1937 AAR boxcar and an Accurail fishbelly underframe, Kadee wheelsets and other details- This started out as an undec Branchline that I painted and lettered using Oddballs decals. I also added cushion coupler boxes, Athearn Roller Bearing trucks with Kadee wheelsets and roofwalk along with other details. This is an IMWX kit that I just added Kadee wheelsets and a few other things to.

Great job Chuck, I especially like the Quanah & Pacific GARX box!

these are really nice! I really like the FWD car. The weathering is great with just enough to highlight the car but not over power it. Keep up the good work!

Thanks Scott and Greg! I think the 50's had the neatest freight cars. I am also going to build a few wood side ones to mix in with the others.
To me, a boxcar is not a boxcar unless it has a roofwalk! ;D

To me, a boxcar is not a boxcar unless it has a roofwalk! ;D I agree....a full compliment of safety appliances, including high-mount brake wheels on box cars and hoppers, AND staff brake wheels on flats!
