Here is a shot of my recently completed Atlas GP40-2's. I added the new Detail West plow and Airhorns. Tom Adair weathered for me. See Individual shots of each GP40-2 by clicking the link below.

Did the Reading actually put numbers on the cab roof? That is very interesting...

Christian, The last motive power that the RDG aquired before the start of Conrail were; MP15's 2771-2780,SW1001's 2601-2625,GP39-2's 3401-3420 and GP40-2's 3671-3675. Except for the MP15's & the GP39-2's all were delivered with roof unit numbers. The RDG also painted some of thier other units in a variation of the final solid green scheme. It is my understanding that unit nos. were applied to the roof of all the repainted units. I believe this is the correct list of the units that recieved the green scheme. GP35 3640 GP7 614 RS3 449 NW2 104 SW1500 2763 SW1200 2716 SW900 1519 SW1200m 2711,2712,2714,2716 I hope I was able to help. 2771chris

I think they should have let the Reading live on.

Those are sweet, it is hard to beat a green and yellow engine, no matter which railroad it is!
