Hello all,
I just joined and thought I'd tell a little about myself.
I have been a railfan and modeler just about all of my life (52+ years). I model in HO and have been without a layout now about 30+ years. I am trying to get back into it and I see alot has changed over the years and hope to learn from this group. I have kept current several subscription to rail and model railroading magazines so I am kind of up to date. I find forums like this give a more personal touch and more can be learned and questions answered fast.
Just about any prototype works for me but I favor the B&O, C&O, Western Maryland and Chessie System and now CSX and NS.
I am from Hamilton Ohio and live and work in Louisiana. I am a Chief Engineer in the merchnt marine industry currently serving aboard a commercial dive vessel doing oilfield repairs. Being in Louisiana I do have a soft spot for the Southern Pacific.
Thanks all for allowing me to join. Happy 4th of July everybody.

Thanks Guys,
I appreciate the welcome. Hope you all had a happy 4th of July. I've been looking around a bit here and I see some really fantastic models being done here. I have learned about a new (at least to me anyway) manufacturer, Railfler Prototype Models, and have checked out their website. Very nice products. Sure is a far cry from from what was available 30 or 40 years ago. Shoot, for that matter better than stuff available a year or so ago.
Anyway, thanks for allowing me to join. And thank you for the welcome note.

Thanks for the welcome Laughinghippie. I'm transplanted from Hamilton Ohio and been here since 1978, guess I'm registered by now.
