your drawings and my calculations are pretty close . i still have vivid memories even though 40 years have past since I have seen or touched one I will do 2 of these one with actule parts and one with cheaper one for if you cant find stuff (options)
did you use a cad program ?

Yes, everything is developed in 3d cad. I primarily use Autocad, which I've been using for a long time. I'm fluent in it, and I prefer the workflow of a direct modeling type program. Plus it's a solid modeler, rather than surface based, so it avoids many of the issues found in programs like Sketchup when trying to output the files for 3d printing. I can also use Solidworks, although I don't have nearly as much time invested and am not anywhere near as fluent using it. Plus it's an indirect modeling type program, which I don't particularly like. But there are distinct advantages when it comes to editing things, and it has some useful tools and capabilities that Autocad doesn't have. Jim
