All , I Think I am going to stick with this Original DD forum over the faceb. DD forum, I'm beginning to Dislike the DD faceb. segment.. page the reason is this > It seems that every time I have posted a Question there ... everyone Has to his the LIKE FEATURE , etc rather than try to help or answer the question posted. <

Tom, the late Randy Earle created the FB pages (Diesel Detailer and Diesel Detailer Marketplace) because of the declining use of this forum. I have tried to encourage use of the forum over FB, with little success. Another thing working against the forum was the requirement to use a photo hosting site to post photos to the forum. FB has no such requirement.
It is easier to find archived data on the forum than FB, which I consider a big plus. All said, it is my intention to keep the forum alive for as long as we can, but I need members to create more posts and activity to help bring old members back and encourage new members to join and share with us. Any and all ideas to accomplish this are welcome.

I was also using facebook, as it appeared everyone had moved there, not happy with it, very hard to track or even find anything, I dont post a lot, but after some "life" to deal with I should be able tobae back on here modeling again

I've also got some "life" to deal with this year but after the dust settles I should be knocking out some modeling projects. I've always liked the format here so I'll share when I do work on something.

I've been working on covered hoppers and boxcars recently and have some Free-mo modules up next so it may take a while to get back to the long list of diesels to detail. I've been using P-base since I found Dave Hussey's RPM postings. I find the price to be reasonable and continue to use it for my pictures.

I forgot to add that I don't have any use for Facebook so this forum is where I'll stay.

If FB is the way to go I guess I'm out. I'm pretty sure no one cares what I ate for dinner or what cute thing my Chihuahua did.

N Scale is great these days. It's come a long way from the early days when it had huge potential but very limited reliability. It did teach us to be innovative, which is still a handy skill. I still have my first HO scale engine which is now 60 years old. Switched to N-Scale in 1972. Cheers Steve
