As the subject states, I'm looking to find a package of the wheel slip detector from Custom Finishing. I have one package (1 pair), want to match them for a locomotive I have under way. These things have become rare it seems.

sorry for the late follow up, but am still interested if this is the brass version. CF has converted most (all?) of their stuff to pewter, and that version of this part is delicate. CF had shipped me some in the 'new' metal and the yield after bending these parts was about 75%. Some of the cables had imperfections that if you bent before you looked, they broke. And of course I had cut away the good cable before seeing the flawed one in a couple of cases. If these are brass you may want to hang on to them, but if you're willing to part with some I'm interested. I'd buy all the brass you have if you're willing to part with them

Sorry, Lyle, but the parts I have are the pewter version. I will say, the ones I have used, I cut off the cables and drilled out the fitting in order to use nylon fly-fishing tippet for the cable. I have two sets and you are still welcome to them.

thanks, but I have the pewter versions as well. I contacted CF and he sold them directly. That's when I learned they were of the new material. Actually I'm currently out of the pewters as well, but have bought some more. They are just yet to arrive
