Is the NW5 considered a Switcher or a road unit
Trying to figure out where to post my upcoming NW5 builds
In Switchers or early EMC

The NW5 is classified as a "road switcher" by EMD. There were only a dozen or so built under this class, with the Great Northern getting most of them. They were equipped with steam generators and most likely used in local passenger or mixed train service.
