Hey guys I just finished a couple of trucks. The Midland truck had the wheels changed but is stock paint which is very close. They OEM wheels looked too awful. Iadded the Midland stripes and logos from the JBot set. The Ertl Pete is daycab conversion. Changed the fifth wheel, added the rear wall and some walkway material. Still can't get it to sit right and I don't have horns or mirrors on or lights painted. Maybe one of these years I will get around to that but since these travel for a while I will hold off until they get a layout to be set on. www.pbase.com/ric_no_k/model_vehicles

Looking good so far!! Do you plan on weathering them or will these be your showroom units? Either way you are off to a great start on these models.

The Pete is probably going to finish up an O/O so he takes pride in his ride. The KW might see some dirt and grime. Stan's idea on the stacks is nice. I have a Tonkin Pete with hollow stacks and it makes a huge difference.

Good looking Midland truck; I see what you mean about the shade of green paint being close though. Midland uses a light metallic green, I see the 1:1 trucks all the time.
Local Wallyworld has the Norscot Petes in yellow; Sunbury Transportation's HQ is literally 30 seconds away from here by car, and the yellow's pretty close... and I think Railflyer does the decals.

Very nice! I typed in HO RESIN on evilbay and there were several old 1950s rig kits including a GMC Crackerbox and an Emeryville.
