Does anyone have experience stripping these shells? I just tried Scalcoat Washaway stripper which is used to use exclusively and I was not impressed.

Does anyone have experience stripping these shells? I just tried Scalcoat Washaway stripper which is used to use exclusively and I was not impressed. Washaway works very well, takes all of 5-10 minutes to soak. Use an old toothbrush and wash with sappy water before paint.

Isopropyl alcohol, the 91% type you can pick up at Walgreens, CVS, et al. Cheap and effective in my experiences.

Gents thanks for the replies. I soaked an Atlas RS11 for 2 day and it did not take off all the paint even after repeated srubbings. I will try the alcohol
