Started my Southland GP38-2 from the movie "End of the Line" yesterday. Got the shell from John, I had the frame and trucks in the "parts box". The Spark Arrestors are from Details West.

I'm wondering where I should go with this one. Should I detail it to the nines with a more detailed cab and nose, or should I make it as a trackside unit for conversation?

Nahh, do her up as a "Club Runner". The nose and cab are acceptable for that use. That way, she'll be on the rails quicker.
You just need a Preiser Wiford Brimley figure and you're all set!
