Hi all,
Name's Andy. Mr. jbakko suggested I visit this site so I've decided to register.
I've been modeling for about 15 years now, but only very recently got into N scale model railroading. It appears that most of you work in HO scale, though I'm sure there is still plenty for me to gain from this site.
Browsing around, I've already seen some incredible work around the forums, and I look forward to learning from the rest of you.

Welcome Andy! Judging by the trains at the bottom of your post you must like the BN like me. You can't go wrong with that. Glenn

Thanks guys! Glenn, I had chosen to model BNSF in all it's glory, and probably create a freelance subsidiary as well... I painted and weathered my first locomotive last weekend, wanting to see how my techniques would transfer to model railroading.... A Proto GP38-2 that I picked up on the cheap. It's a start! I'm researching the available N scale parts to see just how detailed I can make these locomotives... and I've got an Atlas SD60 in the planning stages right now.

Looks like a good start to me. I am modeling the MRL on June 10th 1995. That way I can model the BN also, but MRL is my number 1. Glenn

Andy! I'm sure you know this but BLMA has some N scale detail parts. I have used them and they are very nice parts to use. Send me a PM, I have some parts you might be interested in.

Glenn, since I'm from California it was either modern BNSF or UP... I'll probably end up doing both down the line... Maybe toss in a FerroMex as icing on the cake.
Andrew, you've got a PM.

Stephen, thank you. I'm glad to hear it since this is quickly becoming my favorite forum. Jay, that sounds great... What is the ideology behind your freelance? I look forward to bouncing ideas off each other and working together.

I dunno... I think those larger scales have more detail potential...
Hopefully the secret to fixing that is around here somewhere... ;D

Andy, the Ideology behind my freelance shortline was I had the chance to buy an Atlas Central Vermont RS11, Even though I model BNSF I still wanted to get it, and once I got it I found myself wondering what to do with it, Thus Born the Cedar Valley which conviently has the exact scheme as Central Vermont(The Green and Yellow scheme)
