Rebel locomotives is Chris from old "Railflyer" days. Randy do you need HTC triple clasp or Flexicoil C2C type?

The SD40-2 is Athearn or other make? I do have an extra Kato SD38-2 drive with the triple clasp HTC trucks. Athearn will have to be custom made. It doesn't look hard. Just time consuming.

Randy, do you have a regular Kato -2 drive? Like a Kato SD40-2 drive to trade? I was saving a few of the triple clasp Kato drives for N&W SD40-2's and I'm definitely keepin one for my SD50S model. I can let one go now though. I thought the Athearn SD45-2 drive would be better but it's too much work to use them under 40-2's and they still aren't as accurate bolster-wise as the Kato. So I traded off the Athearn 45-2 for a regular Kato 40-2 drive. That covers my UP SD40-2SS I'll be posting soon. I just need one more regular Kato 40-2 drive for my KCS 701 model. I'm old school. I love kit bashing better than scratch so naturally I'm bashing 701 from an Athearn SD50. Omg bad idea. Talk about a locomotive that should be just scratch built from the dynamic/clean air room back. Allot of people tend to think that KCS's SD40X units are a simple SD50 on a 68'10" frame. Believe me it's so far from that lol.
