Wow, that's just different enough that other than the clean air room, and deck, everything else is scratched. Even the engine doors are 9 opposed to 10 on GP/SD's of old. Looks like the cab roof pitch changed too. Looks like a P2K GP60 is the first OOB for your frame and deck, then cannon, cannon, cut, cut, cannon cut cut...you get the idea. There's an N scale one on youtube. This might help your brainstorming...even the cab windows are tilted, yikes! www.flickr.com/photos/127940900@N03/16950916225I gotta say, you piqued my interest with this prototype, especially when mated to the matching slug!!

They are rebuilt from GP50's. Here is the best info on them: www.nsdash9.com/rosters/4700.htmlChris even provides the original road number for the unit. On the Admiral cab, I got to talk with someone at the company that builds these cabs for Norfolk Southern. I specifically asked about the slanted windows and the answer is they are the same size as the standard EMD window for over the low nose. So a modified Cannon & Co. cab can be used. There are some of these cabs on Shapeways.

One of the single best looking ECO locomotives being produced!!! If I were modeling modern I definitely would want a lot of them myself... but of course I am not modeling modern. B (

I model the FWWR and was thinking about doing a what if unit for them. My idea is to start with a Genesis GP50 as a starting point. Cutting out the rear radiator section and adding the flare section. Looking for rear detail shots to figure out what was done, Looks like they added some doors and Brake wheel location. As for the Cab im not sure what I want to do, personally I think the Admiral Cab is ugly. So I may keep the Cab still deciding.
