Which is the better HO body??

Which is the better? An elderly Front range or a newer Bachmann GP30 body?

I already have the latter and am expecting the former in the post soon(ish) so would be obliged for your input.

Front Range never made a GP30 body to my knowledge. But, they did buy shells from Bachmann to repackage and sell as their own.

I don't think Bachmann did any major upgrades on the shell tooling over the years, so they'd be about the same. The detailing added may have changed depending on the version.

I may be wrong, but I think the Bachmann/Front Range shells were origianly done by Lionel back in the 70's when they did the GP30.
