Hi, all: OK, I'm at it again... I just released a CNR Steel Frame Double Sheathed Center Cupola Flanger CN 56278- 56280 were sisters to the previously released single sheathed flangers, except they were built as double sheathed cars in an attempt to improve crew working conditions. They remained as double sheathed cars through their entire working lives. However, it seems the extra cost of construction and maintenance didn't please the bean counters, because all subsequent cars reverted to the single sheathed design. These cars were quite distinctive with their thick walls, and small windows set high (and deep) in the walls. www.shapeways.com/product/UHRENK97A/ho-cn-steel-frame-double-sheath-flanger?li=shop-results&optionId=57358634Steve

Keep up the good work Steve. When our dollar recovers I plan on getting both plows, gondola and a PEI appropriate flanger.

Arnold took some beautiful photos on his two visits to PEI. Too bad he wasn't able to visit more often!
And yep, my avatar is my photo from Montague. My Dad, brother, and I had gone to the hardware store to get some stuff for our house in Orwell Cove when I heard the wayfreight backing in... I immediately abandoned them and ran down the hill, across the bridge to the station, and hoofed it along the track...
:-)
