Yikes! Just shy of $250CAD to my door...I don't need an SDL39 THAT much. Thanks for the link! Convince Kaslo to do another run of them. I don't think it was too much more than that for the entire shell, frame, motor and trucks last time!

The hoakey trucks and stamped steel frame was a deterrent to making an acceptable model when he did do them. I might be able to convince a run of resin parts only but John does not like not providing at least parts that can be used on existing trucks or frames, so it'd be a stretch. Does anyone know if the Frateschi trucks for the G22cu have similar spacing to the SDL39? (sorry to hijack post)

There was an article in MR a few years ago showing how someone cut down the wheelbase of an old Athearn SD45 truck tower and used that for their SDL39...and then shortened a Flexicoil sideframe to pass.

Those sideframes could be rapid prototyped and printed with a high level of detail if someone were willing to take the time to do so. Shame they aren't provided with the kit.

What about the frateschi's truck straight up? Looks pretty close. IIRC, my G12 was only $80...this should be the same price
