Hi Sean,
I looked at the Hobbytec website 2-3 years ago, but I don't speak Portuguese and all the text was in .jpgs so Google couldn't translate, at least they partly fixed that.
Any tips on which version(s) he ordered from them would be greatly appreciated, I'd like to build both.
Did he use Frateschi drives?
I rode a wooden caboose behind that G12 unit or her sister (CN 991 or 992) on Vancouver Island back in '71.
Thanks,
Dan M.

No It only comes with a resin body, sideframes, fuels tank and clear resin windows. You have to scratch the frame from brass stock and use AThearn (or your choice) SW trucks. He does have paypal now so it made the transition alot easier. I used google translater to communicate, and it worked fine. L5 was re# 992 when CN bought the line in 1966, and the only one that Hobbytec makes that is closest to a CN G12. L4 had angled cab roof and weird trucks. Here's my build thread for 992. dieseldetailer.proboards.com/thread/12624/cn-g12-992

Obrigado, Dan M.
