The U36C was basically a refinement of the U33C, in that it the horsepower was increased by 300hp.
Phase Ia: Externally identical to the phase-Ie U33C.
a: Radiator housing is taller then the car-body and overhangs out past the intake screens below.
b: Entire body below the radiator is wider then the area ahead of it.
c: The intake screens are corrugated and project slightly from the hood.
d: Air-filter screen ahead of radiator intake screens.
High mounted for oil-bath filter and low mounted for paper air filters.
e: Flat Pilot.
f: Handrail notch in step-well is full length.
g: Rectangular headlight casing.
h: Circular door latches (two per door).
i: six equipment doors on the left side under cab.
j: Single step on the left side frame sill.
